Autumn Fair October 2025

At the Autumn Fair in the Memorial Hall, the Heritage Group promoted our forthcoming publication by Chris Cobley on the life of the extra-ordinary Samuel Cunliffe Lister. The timing is apt. The prestigious Turner Prize has come to Bradford as part of 2025 UK City of Culture. This is being held at Cartwright Hall in Lister Park which was created by funding from Samuel Cunliffe Lister and is reminder of his impact.

The level of interest shown already by local bookshops has been a great boost – so look out
for the new book which comes out shortly.
