Summer Trip to Dean Clough & Shibden Hall 11th July

Members and their guests welcome
£20 incl Hall entry

Depart 9.30 am from the Memorial Hall, Main Street and returning for 5pm

Dean Clough is a thriving 22-acre mixed-use mill complex, stretching half a mile in length and consisting of 16 Grade II listed Victorian mills. Once the home of Crossley Carpets, then the world’s largest carpet manufacturer. It is now a community where people come to work, eat and drink, for culture, health and wellbeing, to shop, celebrate, recharge and even marry! Lots of shops, art galleries. Installations and exhibitions, cafes, and restaurants. Heritage and Art trails are available.

In the early afternoon we travel by the coach to Shibden Hall, dating back from 1420 and recently made famous by the recent TV programme 'Gentleman Jack'; a series about the diarist Anne Lister who lived in the Hall in the late 1800s. We approach the Hall using a small land train which will drive around Shibden Park.

We will leave Shibden to make our way back to Addingham for 5pm.

Social Evening

There will be an optional meal that evening at The Fleece, Main Street at 6.30 for 7pm. You are welcome to join the meal group even if you have not been on the coach trip.

The meal will be table d'hote style where diners choose two courses (at £22.50), or three courses (at £27) from a range of meal options, plus a complimentary tea or coffee
